Justin Snow serves as the senior speechwriter for the Human Rights Campaign. He is the former political editor and White House correspondent for Metro Weekly magazine in Washington, D.C. He has reported extensively on national politics, the Republican Party and LGBT issues. He also covered the 2012 presidential election as well as the Supreme Court’s landmark rulings on same-sex marriage.
Prior to joining Metro Weekly in July 2012, he covered Maryland politics for Baltimore magazine and MarylandReporter.com. He has also written for POLITICO Magazine, The American Prospect, The New York Post, Baltimore City Paper and The Baltimore Examiner.
A graduate of the University of Maryland, he served as a columnist and opinion editor of The Diamondback. In 2010 he was awarded second place for collegiate column writing in the Mid-Atlantic region by the Society of Professional Journalists and was part of the editorial staff that helped The Diamondback win first place for best daily newspaper.
